AAV Stealth switch for applications in gene therapy

Start date project: 2022
Involved institutes: LUMC, KNAW
Stage: Preclinical
Status: Ongoing

Description: With the remarkable progress that is being made in the field of gene therapies, there has become an urgent need to regulate the expression of the therapeutic gene. In this project “stealth” technology will be used to construct a set of novel AAV vectors that can be switched “on” and “off”, setting a critical step toward a clinically applicable regulatable viral vector system that will have multiple applications.
